2023 is underway, and it’s a great time for a “refresher course” on everything 8 Chains North has to offer our Wine Club members and customers. Whether you visited last week or last year, there is always something new happening. From unique wine pairings, to crafting events, to hosting your private event or wedding, we offer so many ways to enjoy the winery and our award-winning wines. Here are the Top 8 Activities you can do at the winery.
1) Taste Wine!
Of course, the first thing you’ll want to do is taste these award-winning wines. We are pleased to offer two options to our guests. Choose a guided wine tasting at the bar with one of our friendly staff members, and we’ll share details about the six wines on the tasting menu (which typically changes monthly). Or you may prefer a self-guided wine flight. Choose any four wines, which come in cute carafes, from a large list of options. You’ll be able to read the tasting notes for each at your table. A fun option is to add on a chocolate pairing, which we offer every day of the week. There’s nothing better than these handcrafted bon bons prepared by The Conche tried side-by-side with our wines. 2) Say “I Do” with a Vineyard View
What is more romantic than a winery wedding? Not much, in our opinion. Our venue has many spectacular spaces for all aspects of your day. Say your vows, literally, in the vines. Our ceremony space on the south side of the winery has stunning vineyard views and spectacular sunsets. That golden-hour glow is amazing. You and your betrothed will take photos in the vineyard, and your guests will enjoy cocktail hour on our large patio. Then dine and dance the night away in our beautiful Compass Rose Room. Before the big event, we have two spacious ready rooms for pre-wedding glam and relaxation. Finally, there are so many wonderful photo opportunities around the property—vineyard, rustic farm fencing, red barn, vintage truck, and more. 3) Play Ball in the Dog Park
8 Chains North is the only winery in Loudoun County with an off-leash dog park. It’s kinda what we’re known for, besides our great wine, of course. Enjoy a glass of vino in the large fenced area with vineyard views while your vaccinated and friendly four-legged family members romp around. We even supply the tennis balls!
And don’t worry if there is inclement weather. There is ample covered seating on the patio and under the deck. Plus, your pups are welcome inside the Tasting Room. (Dogs are not permitted on the deck or in our event spaces.) Fetch Some Fun>>
4) Host a Private Event
We offer several private spaces for your special event. The Compass Rose Room is a rustic, elegant space, with vineyard views through four French doors that open onto the patio. Cork-covered walls and a glass wall looking into the barrel room, add unique wine-related elements. The Vine Room upstairs is cozy for parties up to 40 and has access to the Deck. 5) Eat Well
We expanded our food options to include some tasty fare. You should not miss out on the Bottle & a Board Friday Special. It’s a deal! Choose any four flavorful bruschetta and a bottle of wine for just $34 (premium wines +$5).
Fridays through Sundays, we offer mouth-watering charcuterie, bruschetta, mac & cheese, and more. You can even book a private Vineyard Picnic for two or four guests. 6) Join a Wine Club
Our Wine Clubs are second-to-none. We offer a Pick-up Club for local members, and a Ship-To Club for members in 41 states. Membership is free. Both Clubs enjoy a 20% discount on all wines, 15% off merchandise, and 10% off private event rentals. 7) Book a Group Tasting
We have plenty of space for your group wine tasting—small or large. For groups of nine or more guests, we require reservations so we can be sure to have seating for you and provide great service. Book Club? Dog Meetup? Corporate wine tour? Hanging out with a bunch of friends? We got you. We can accommodate up to 80 guests during business hours.
All parties of 25+ guests who are not doing a seating wine tasting must have a private event rental. Reserved tables are also available to guarantee space for small groups for a $50 fee. Reserve>>
